From the matted hair like a deep forest, cascades the sacred water of Ganges River which sanctifies this holy place. Supported by his neck, the great snake hangs like a lofty garland. The Damru weaves the sound of Damad. Damad, Damad, Damad and on that beat Shiv performs a passionate Tandav dance. May the vibrations of Tandav extend to us O Lord Shiva! [1]

The Ganges River, contained within the caldron of matted hair on the head is also whirling with the whirling of the head. The strands of the matted hair, present on the forehead and resembling large creepers, are also waving wildly and the surface of the wide forehead is shining. The Young Crescent Moon on the head fills every moment of mine with joy. [2]

The Lord of the Earth and his dearest consort,- the daughter of the Mountain- joins the dance, their beautiful dance sets the horizon aglow and fills the minds of the progeny with pleasure. His compassionate glance immediately neutralises obstacles and danger. Sometimes desirous of bliss, he dances this Tandav stark naked. [3]

The jewel on the hanging head of the yellowish red snake is illuminating the face of the maintainer like a newly-wed bride’s face smeared with turmeric and vermilion, the upper garment of soft skin of an infatuated elephant is visibly throbbing and delighting the amazing upholder. This amazing act of the sustainer delights my mind.[4]

The thousand eyed and others are forming an uninterrupted line of heads like flowers which is the basis on the earth of dust covered feet. His matted hair and bound strands are graced by the garland of the King of Snakes. The beauty and auspiciousness of the sustainer is enhanced. The friendship of the Moon on the head with the bird Chakor may last forever. [5]

His forehead is like an blazing altar, The conqueror of wealth is emitting sparks and is constantly sparkling blaze of sparks, fire imbibed in the head spreads out. Bowing supernatural beings prostration before The Leader of the Gods, May the nectar, the ray of light, present on the head of The Greatest of Kaapaalis Lord Shiva, who has accomplished prosperity and is contained in matted locks on the head, reach to us.

The formidable sheen of the Surface of His Forehead is burning with the sound – Dhagad, Dhagad, Dhagad, Dhagad O conqueror of wealth, the one and only three eyed artist, you are ready to perform the oblation of fire of five arrows which are ready to be discharged by raising the Mountain king’s daughter (Ganga the river) with a conspicuous nipple ready to draw figures on the Earth. This delights my heart. [7]

A gathering of New circular clouds, shaking and holding back, the New Moon of the night, bound with a knot around the neck, You the holder of sacred river on your body, you hide an elephant in the hollow. The pleasant bearer of the Crescent moon, granter of prosperity, O bearer of the universe. [8]

In the pitch black darkness of the universe, the blue lotus is blooming and glowing, the manifestation tied to the neck and hanging around his neck is by his own choice. I worship the terminator of Smara (Kamadeva-God of Love) terminator of (Tri) Puras (owner of three castles), terminator of world’s cruel epochs, terminator of Makha (sacrificial oblation Daksha), and terminator of Gajasur (a huge evil person): terminator of Andhakasur (darkness): terminator of Yamadeva (the God of death) [9]

Thou art the undiminishing auspicious source of welfare for all and a source of all Arts which thou manifest like a blossom of Kadamb flowers. Thou art the Destroyer of God of love Smar, Destroyer of worldly existence, Destroyer of sacrificial festival of Daksha, Destroyer of Gajasur and Andhak, restrainer of Yama (god of Death), I revere thee, the encompassing, unshakeable, auspicious, artistic, like a blossom of Kadam and Manjari flowers from which flows the essence of charm that is flaring out and it is covered with

O large-hearted, when will I perceive the difference between a garland of snakes and a garland of pearls, a most precious, gem and a heap of clay, a friend and opponent, ordinary eyes and a lotus eyes, common people of the Earth and the Emperor of the Earth, when will I acquire a mind that is neutral (Having no personal preference or bias) when and how my, Lord.

Like this, every day, by breaking silence, if one earnestly and uninterruptedly, with great devotion in religious meditation, and without another motive constantly recites to converse with Him in innocence and compassion for the embodied souls and meditates on Shanker. At the time of conclusion of reverence, if one recites this in the first part of the night in that place then beautiful Laxmi herself will come in on its chariot of elephant together with the deities offering prosperity to Shambhu.
